Resolution
By Julie Horner and Mary Andersen
The still of winter is a conscious thing. In the lee of Ben Lomond Mountain shadows are resolute, the treetops shrouded in mist. Crisp walks beneath dripping boughs bolster the imagination, and there is much to look forward to as we enter this new year. Each of us has a chance with this symbolic passing of time to try a little harder, to resolve to let go of worn attitudes and tattered habits, to strive to be our best.
In the January issue of the San Lorenzo Valley Post, contributor Robin Musitelli shares important news about the challenges of the Zayante Fire Protection District and a proposed consolidation of the valley’s four fire departments. Learn more about the upcoming SLV Water District rate increase. And find out how the locals feel about the uptick in abandoned vehicles and what the County is doing to help mitigate the problem. Heralding the mountain lifestyle, The Post cozies up to wintertime with a hearty soup recipe from columnist Alison Steele and gives a nod to the nog in Thomas Andersen’s Felton Fermenter column. Check out our robust calendar of music and events, and sample the Santa Cruz Mountains vibe.
Happy New Year!
